Brainspotting Intensive Sessions
A client-centered, gentle yet powerful approach that taps into the brain’s natural healing ability to address trauma, anxiety, emotional blocks, and enhance creativity and sports performance. Intensive sessions are geared towards more complex issues that may require more time than a typical 1 hour session.

If you’ve found that weekly or hour long therapy sessions have not allowed the time and space you need to fully process or resolve an issue, a Brainspotting Intensive session may be a wonderful option for you. Behaviors or issues that are more complex or you’ve had difficulty changing in regular therapy can be beneficial through an intensive.
Intensives are designed as a personalized session curated for you and your needs. We both come prepared to do deep work on an issue or pattern. It is a way to create dedicated to time your recovery without the limits of time. This enhanced focus allows both of us to go deep into the historical roots of your issue and help to resolve or significantly lessen your concerns at their core.

In a Brainspotting intensive, we first couple an initial assessment to get to know one another and identify if moving forward with an intensive would be the best approach for your presenting issue.
In a Brainspotting Intensive, this healing work is condensed into longer, more immersive sessions - designed to create faster breakthroughs and deeper emotional relief than traditional weekly therapy.
This would consist of a more targeted approach instead of a 45 minute session.
We can decide the length of time for this type of approach. Often sessions are stretched out to one or two days, consisting of several hours at a time, rather than months of intermittent work. Sessions are intentionally custom made for each individuals needs, goals and readiness for healing.

Brainspotting is a useful technique for you, if you have worked on yourself for awhile and feel that you still can't shift something that is keeping you stuck.
Brainspotting can be applied to: Physical and Emotional Trauma, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Eating Disorders, Recovery from injury or accident Trauma, Trauma from medical interventions and treatment, Sports Performance, Creativity Enhancement, Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions, Addictions, Phobias, Trauma resulting from War and natural disasters, and much, much more.
Any life event which causes a person to feel very overwhelmed, helpless, or trapped, can become a “stuck” traumatic experience in the mind/body.

A brainspot is the eye position that is found and held that holds the activation of a stuck traumatic experience. The goal of brainspotting is to activate, locate and process the brainspot until there is a release and thus a reduction in symptoms.
Brainspotting stimulates the brain’s inherent capacity to heal itself from trauma. The therapist works with the client to locate the brainspot, then attunes to the client. Finding a brainspot enables the “processing of the experience”. The goal of this therapeutic process, or “focused mindfulness,” is the entire release of the blocked activation in the body and brain.
This release stimulates a spontaneous healing process that starts in the deeper brain, or the unconscious. After a certain time of processing, the client can experience deep relief from the distress that has been held deep in the mind and body from past “stuck” experiences.
